Overview of the Event

Together, we are celebrating the founding of Jersey Village!! Come join us for this great event, featuring rides, food, music, free bingo with prizes, a dunk tank, and more!

Rides & Inflatables (This is a closed off area that requires a wrist band purchase to get on rides. Friends and family can enter the area and act as observers. This is the only pay to play portion of the event)

Food offerings (A variety of food trucks and popups, drink providers, and concession providers for purchase. See list below)

The Dunk Tank (A fun way to soak your city representatives and throw objects towards them without getting a ticket. Completing a survey gets you a free throw.)

Art Contest (Free to enter, must register! Art must be dropped off by April 1st for judging. Register below!

Bingo (Free to play, by Jersey Village Senior Outreach, hosted under the pavilion, a great way to play some bingo and get some great prizes)

Cake walk (Free to play, by Jersey Village Women's Group, join this 'musical chairs' interpretation to get some amazing cakes and baked treats)

Free games (Local organizations and businesses put on games, free to play, everyone can join in)

DJ Cara (A great entertainer, DJ Cara will be returning this year to put out some tunes and get people dancing)

FIREWORKS (The event will conclude with a fireworks show at 9:15pm put on by Phoenix Design Group)

Parking for the event

General parking will be available at the high school (see blue/purple area on map below).

ADA parking, golf cart parking, dignitary parking, and volunteer parking will be available on the far side of Post Elementary school (see green area on map below). To take advantage you must have your disability hanger in your car.

Founders Day Wrist Bands

Wrist bands are specifically for our Rides & Inflatables area. A wristband is not needed to participate in any of the other event offerings. Costs until day of are $10/resident and $20/nonresident. Prices will go up by $10 on the event day. 

Friends and family who want to observe people on the rides can enter the area for free- they simply wont be able to go on any rides without a wrist band. Anyone 3 and under gets a wristband for free- but they must register.

The Dunk Tank

The Dunk Tank (pictured below) is a great way to have a little fun while giving back to the Parks and Recreation Department. Instead of paying to throw balls at our city representatives, you can now fill out a survey (we will have this on hand).

The timeslots are here:

Art Contest

The art contest, open to both youth and adults, was a huge hit last year!!! The art registered will be visible at our Founders Day 2025 main event space at Clark Henry Park. It is a great way to get creative and have your work displayed for the public to enjoy!! 

Registration is FREE. Registration deadline to drop off art work is April 1st, 5pm. Artwork can be dropped off at the Jersey Village City Hall front desk 

With local art teachers or artists acting as judges, we are excited to bring this back for a 2nd time!!

Eligibility: Open to students and adults

Allowed Mediums: Any 2D art medium and any 3D art medium (but if 3D it must be 12 inches or less on any side)
Artwork Size: Minimum dimensions: 8 inches x 10 inches, Maximum dimensions: 12 inches x 14 inches. 12 inches or less on any side for 3D pieces. 
Submission Deadline: April 1st, 2025, by 5 PM.
How to Participate: Register online and submit artwork to the City of Jersey Village.
Prizes: Winners will be marked by ribbons and receive prizes.

Senate Avenue Brewing Chili Cook Off

We are working to put together a chili cook off. It will take place in the Clark Henry Park parking lot. In order to participate, entrants (individuals or teams) will need to get a temporary food operator permit ($84) as well as a food handler certificate ($8, requires course).

Senate Ave Brewing will give you a check to pay back these costs!!

  • Applications need to be submitted by 4/7 or the fee may increase

 

Free samples  of the chili will be given out to the public to try your kitchen creativity!

There will also be some judging to determine a People's Choice Award!

Full requirement details are located in prerequisites under the signup HERE. Anyone who does not follow these Harris County Public Health requirements may be fined.

Cake Walk & Bingo

These portions of the event are both FREE to join. They will both take place under the pavilion at Clark Henry Park. A big thank you to the Jersey Village Women's Group for putting on the cake walk and Jersey Village Senior Outreach for running the bingo!

The cake walk is a version of musical chairs in which the prizes are cakes! Home baked by our own JV residents. Cake walk will run from 5:30-6:45pm! 

Bingo is free to join, open to anyone joining at any point, and features some great prizes including gift cards, amazon products, and more! Bingo will run from 7-8:30pm!
